In an emergency, dial 911.
We offer telemedicine technology to enable you to consult and seek treatment from an expert Canadian licensed physician. You start with filling out a questionnaire to share details about your current medical condition, ailment history, your medicines, allergies, lifestyle, prior surgeries, and how ED impacts your life. We will also ask you for your recent blood pressure, that is done in the last 6 months. The physician will review your responses, and may reach out to you for further questions, through secure messaging as needed.
Upon review, the physician will determine if you are a good candidate for telemedicine, and may make a diagnosis, and craft a customized treatment plan. Once the prescription is issued, our partner Canadian licensed pharmacy will ship your medicine to arrive at your door step, in discreet packaging. If at any time, you have further questions or concerns about your treatment plan, you can reach out to your physician via secure messaging, to seek further assistance.
At ON MEN, our dedicated team of doctors, pharmacists, and care specialists are here to help you treat ED, but its best that you investigate the root-cause of ED with your primary care physician. Most often, ED is caused by serious underlying health conditions such as blood pressure, heart disease, or diabetes. We strongly encourage you to seek testing and treatment for the conditions that cause your ED, instead of needing to use Sildenafil. Remember, Sildenafil is a treatment medicine, not a cure.
Canadian Urology Association (CUA) suggests oral therapies using phosphodiesterase type 5- (PDE5) inhibitors, as the first line of treatment for Erectile Dysfunction. Physicians on the ON MEN platform can prescribe oral PDE5 inhibitors to treat ED.
Our most commonly prescribed medicine is rapid dissolve Sildenafil (40mg). Sildenafil is the active ingredient in Viagra, and is Health Canada approved to treat ED. According to drugbank.ca sildenafil can cause “increased flow of blood into the spongy erectile tissue of the penis that consequently allows it to grow in size and become erect and rigid”. In simple terms, it helps relax blood vessels and improves blood flow to your penis to allow for a harder and longer-lasting erection. Our licensed physicians will recommend a personalized dosage plan for Sildenafil based upon your needs and the information you provide.
It is the same thing. Sildenafil is the active substance of Viagra, while Viagra is the commercial name. There are also generics of sildenafil available. The generic is usually cheaper than the original drug, while it still requires a prescription.
Hence the legend of the blue pill remains but generic alternatives can be used with the same effects, administering the same medicine (sildenafil) but with some extra money in the pockets of the patients.
Whereas the commercially-sold oral tablet requires about 45 minutes to take effect and even longer if taken with a large meal, the rapid dissolve tablets can take effect in as little as 10 minutes no matter when the last meal was eaten. These rapid dissolve tablets are absorbed by the soft tissues in the mouth. By bypassing the stomach and the liver, the drug gets into the bloodstream much faster. This allows us to use a lower dose of drug possibly reducing the potential side effects.
Health Canada approved product monograph for Viagra claims that “82% of patients reported an improvement in their erections.” And according to drugbank.ca sildenafil can cause “increased flow of blood into the spongy erectile tissue of the penis that consequently allows it to grow in size and become erect and rigid.”Most (PDE5) inhibitors such as Sildenafil, are preferred as the first line of treatment for Erectile Dysfunction with a reasonably short time of action onset and good tolerability. But no medication works on everyone, and Sildenafil is no exception. Everyone reacts to medication differently, and we advise to report us any unusual reaction or any unusual effect. Take sildenafil exactly as your doctor tell you to, and if you feel the tablets are too strong for you, your dose may be reduced. Also, it may take up to 6 to 8 tries using the medication to experience the best result.
Feel free to reach out to your doctor to discuss any possible side effects, or dose adjustment through our secure messaging tool.
Immediately after ingestion of one tablet, Sildenafil starts to absorb into the body. The rapid dissolve tablets can take effect in as little as 10 minutes.
No drug comes with a zero-side effect promise, and Sildenafil is no exception. We recommend that you please take the time to familiarize yourself if all possible side effects, so you can identify and take immediate action, on the possible onset of a side effect. If you experience any, please stop the use of the medicine immediately, and consult your doctor.
Regardless to say, Sildenafil works well for most users, and the possibility of side effects are slim. From all the drugs belonging to the class of PDE5 inhibitors, Sildenafil is preferred if you want to minimize side effects as it gets out of your system faster. In a 4-year study, only 3.8% of the men had one or more adverse events that led to changes in dosing. Of the 47 events that were documented during the study period, headache and dyspepsia were most common (10 events each), followed by rhinitis (6 events), flushing (5 events), abnormal vision (4 events), dizziness (3 events), and 1 report each of mild palpitations, moderate tachycardia, diarrhea, nausea, myalgia, hypertonia, respiratory disorder, conjunctivitis, and photophobia. In almost all cases, the side effects can be controlled by a change in dose.
Health Canada approved product monogram for Viagra states that “the maximum recommended dosing frequency is once per day”. So, you can take one tablet daily if you’re in the mood for love. However, sildenafil usually should not be taken more than once. You should not take sildenafil every day if you do not intend to have sex every day. Sildenafil does not have a cumulative effect, which means that the active substance is not accumulated in the tissues of your penis even if you take it daily. Thus, you will not have better or constant erections just because you ingested more Sildenafil “in advance”. Sildenafil just does not work that way. We strongly recommend taking a pill only on those days on which you intend to have a sexual intercourse.
You cannot take any other PDE5 inhibitors on the same day when administering sildenafil, as there are risks related to overdosing. You must wait 48 hours for wash-out before taking sildenafil.Sildenafil or Viagra cannot be administrated with nitric oxide donors or nitrated in any form (Nitroglycerin Isosorbide, Nitroprusside, Amyl nitrite or amyl nitrate). Nitrate esters are commonly used in the treatment of angina pectoris, or “chest pain”, myocardial infarction, and congestive heart failure. The combination of nitrates and Viagra can lead to a dangerous fall in your blood pressure.
If you have a severe heart problem if you suffered a stroke or heart attack, or if you have a severe liver problem, it is better to refer to your doctor as you may not be a good candidate to take Sildenafil.
Being a Sildenafil patient for the first time, you may experience unwanted effects. They are transitory and often improve as your body adjusts to the new medicine. However, it is important to keep expectations real, and understand the following:
- Viagra is not an aphrodisiac;
- Viagra won’t make you bigger;
- Viagra does not compensate you with energy so work your body as sex consumes a lot of energy;
- Viagra does not treat premature ejaculation;
- Viagra is a treatment, not a cure.
Doctors on our ON MEN use telemedicine technology to evaluate your condition, and construct a treatment plan, very similar to an in-person appointment. Patients are required to submit details on their medical condition, along with medical history. The doctors review your responses to the questionnaire, to evaluate if you are a good candidate for telemedicine. That is why it is critical that you submit thorough, honest and accurate responses to the physician’s questions.
If at any time you would like to get in touch with a physician to review your progress or share any concerns, you can do so through secure messaging on our platform, from the comfort and convenience of your home.
While submitting your medical history, it is critical that you submit your blood pressure readings taken in the last 6 months. Your blood pressure is an important factor in determining if it is safe for you to take ED medicine, as it can be dangerous if your blood pressure is too high or low.If you haven’t had your blood pressure taken within the last 6 months, you can get a free blood pressure reading at most local pharmacies across the country.
No. ON MEN encourages you to opt for non-medicinal options first such as making lifestyle modifications: walking, eating right, and paying attention to your vascular health; and/or addressing psychological issues. However, in many cases, prescription medications with a PDE5 inhibitor, such as sildenafil or tadalafil, can be attempted.
An online doctor’s visit on ON MEN may cost you anywhere from $25 to $40. Keep an eye out for special promos and discount codes. If you chose to use a local pharmacy of your choice, you will be charged $40 for an online consult, and discounts may not apply.Keep in mind our accredited partner pharmacy will most likely be able to offer you the best pricing compared to other local pharmacies and will ship your meds overnight for FREE.
The price of your medication will depend upon the treatment plan the dose suggested by your physician. However, we offer discounted pricing on our medicines through our partner pharmacies, which are typically lower than any other local pharmacy.

Your order will ship in discreet packaging via overnight shipping, once your prescription is approved. As per the regulations, signature upon delivery will be required. Anyone can sign on your behalf, in your absence.
ON MEN allows you to acquire sildenafil in an efficient, safe and regulated manner. We will not break the law, neither will we ship fake medicine.
Unfortunately, there are many illegal online sources that sell fake Viagra that may promise the moon, even that without a prescription. Any medicine, that is not Health Canada approved, may be a complete waste of your money, or could potentially be harmful.
We only partner with accredited and licensed Canadian pharmacies to ship your medicine. You must complete an online questionnaire to be reviewed by a Canadian licensed doctor to possibly issue a prescription.
As per the Canadian regulations, we cannot ship medicine across the border. Our current business operations are limited to Canada.
We offer telemedicine technology to enable you to consult and seek treatment from an expert Canadian licensed physician or nurse practitioner. You start with filling out a questionnaire to share details about your current medical condition, ailment history, your medicines, allergies, lifestyle, prior surgeries etc. One of our ON MEN clinician will review your responses, and may reach out to you for further questions, through secure messaging if needed.
Upon review, the clinician will determine if you are a good candidate for telemedicine, and may make a diagnosis, and craft a customized treatment plan. At ON MEN, our dedicated team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and care specialists are here to help you stop hair loss, and you may even regrow new hair.
We offer Health Canada approved medicines to treat male pattern baldness (MPB), also known as androgenic alopecia.
- Finasteride (generic for PROPECIA®) is a prescription only pill that’s taken once daily. It is approved by Health Canada, at a dose of 1mg to treat hair loss in men. It is recommended to take the dose at the same time every day, and if you miss a dose, you should take it as soon as possible. If it’s almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Medicine should not be taken more often than directed.
- We also offer a specially formulated topical solution of finasteride with 5% minoxidil for androgenic alopecia. This is a custom blend to omit the long-term use of oral finasteride. Since the topical version of finasteride acts more locally, this formulation can help significantly reduce the systemic side adverse effects seen with the oral formulation.
Finasteride (orally or topically) can effectively lower DHT levels in the scalp by as much as 60% when taken daily. It is DHT that shrinks or miniaturizes the hair follicle, which eventually leads to baldness. This 60% reduction in DHT has proven to stop the progression of hair loss in 86% of men taking the drug during clinical trials. 65% of trial participants had what was considered a substantial increase of hair growth.
At this point, the only truly effective medically proven way to arrest the hair loss process is to lower DHT levels, and finasteride is recommended as the first line of attack for all men interested in treating their male pattern baldness.
Like all other medicines, Finasteride works differently on different people. Typically, it takes 3-4 months of daily use, to start noticing visible results; but it can also take up to one year for maximum impact.
If you are not experiencing any side effects, it is recommended to be used at least one year before you decide if the medicine is working well for you or not. Remember, patience and persistence are key to the success of this treatment.
No drug comes with a zero-side effect promise, and Finasteride is no exception. We recommend that you please take the time to familiarize yourself of all possible side effects, so you can identify and take immediate action, on the possible onset of a side effect. If you experience any, please stop the use of the medicine immediately, and consult your doctor.Regardless to say, Finasteride works well for most users, and the possibility of side effects are slim. For example, possible sexual side effects can include a decrease in sexual desire (libido), a decrease in semen volume, or erectile dysfunction (ED). These side effects were noted in 3.8% of men taking finasteride and in 2.1% of men taking a placebo (“sugar pill”) and are the ones that concern men most.
To combat the side effects of oral Finasteride, ON MEN offers a specially formulated topical solution of finasteride with 5% minoxidil for androgenic alopecia. This is a custom blend to omit the long-term use of oral finasteride. Since the topical version of finasteride acts more locally, this formulation can help significantly reduce the systemic side adverse effects seen with the oral formulation.
Finasteride used in conjunction with over the counter tropical treatment, Minoxidil (5%) is also known for reducing or even stopping hair loss. Both the treatments used together work better than either of the treatment alone. We currently offer a custom blend of 5% Minoxidil with Finasteride. Studies show “significant decrease in rate of hair loss, increase in total and terminal hair count, and positive hair growth assessments”, with the use of topical Finasteride/Minoxidil solution.
Doctors on our ON MEN use telemedicine technology to evaluate your condition, and construct a treatment plan, very similar to an in-person appointment. Patients are required to submit pictures of their hair, along with medical history. The doctors review your pictures, and responses to the questionnaire, to evaluate if it’s safe for you to initiate a hair loss treatment. That is why it is critical that you submit thorough, honest and accurate responses to the physician’s questions. If at any time you would like to get in touch with a physician to review your progress or share any concerns, you can do so through secure messaging on our platform, from the comfort and convenience of your home.
During the online assessment, we will ask you to take or upload photos of your hair from different angles. This will enable the physician to take a closer look at your hairline, vertex, scalp etc., and determine if the treatment plan is right for you.
An online doctor’s visit on ON MEN may cost you anywhere from $25 to $40. Keep an eye out for special promos and discount codes. Testosterone is a natural hormone responsible for the normal growth and development of certain male organs and for maintenance of other masculine traits. Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a form of hormone replacement therapy designed to restore healthy testosterone levels in people who suffer from low T. TRT can be used by both men and women with symptomatic low T, but it’s most commonly used by adult men. Men with low testosterone tend to experience symptoms such as low sex drive, loss of muscle mass, depression and fatigue. Low T is associated with an increased risk of several debilitating health conditions, including metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease and even Alzheimer’s disease.
Now that we answered the “what is TRT” question, you’re probably curious how TRT works. In short, TRT works by giving your body the testosterone it needs to function properly. Testosterone is the primary androgen in males (and females) and has an impact on many biological processes that are necessary for health and longevity.
If you’re experiencing symptoms of low testosterone, it may be time to consider hormone replacement therapy. Intuitively, if your body doesn’t produce enough testosterone on its own, your health will start to suffer until you fix the issue. Thus, TRT works by bringing your body back to a healthy range for testosterone, which then slowly begins to reverse the symptoms of low T. Once a steady baseline dose of testosterone has been established on TRT, most men notice an improvement in their energy levels, vitality, and quality of life. Fortunately, there are treatments available to fix it. Our doctors will discuss the right one for you, based on your symptoms and health history.
You may have low T if you experience constant exhaustion, depression, metabolic and weight loss issues, loss of muscle mass, belly fat, sexual dysfunctions, loss of libido, brain fog and sleeping issues. There is a process to check if you are suffering from low T. First, we will collect your medical history and do an extensive exam to make sure that there are no other underlying causes for the symptoms. All of your bloodwork will be done to determine if the testosterone levels are within a normal range and that your Thyroid hormone test results show no issues with hormone production. If both of these steps are good, then further testing can be done to determine if we need to add testosterone replacement therapy or adjust the dose of other medications you take.

PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis) is for people who are not living with HIV and would like to
remain HIV-negative and is a combination of safe sex practices and a daily medication. It
contains two medications: tenofovir and emtricitabine. It is known to be 99% effective in
protection against HIV.
PrEP is an excellent option for people who are: weigh at least 77 pounds (35kg), are
currently HIV-negative, and meet one or more of the following criteria:
- In a sexual relationship with someone who is living with HIV, especially when they are not undetectable
- In a sexual relationship with a partner or multiple partners, with an unknown HIV status
- One or more incidences of anal or vaginal sex without a condom in the last 6 months
- Diagnosis of gonorrhea, chlamydia, or syphilis in the last 6 months
- Inject drugs not prescribed by a medical provider or share works for drug preparation
- Have a partner living with detectable HIV
PrEP will not be a good option for those who meet any of the following:
- Are already living with HIV. PrEP is not enough to treat HIV.
- Who have symptoms of acute HIV infection or have been exposed to HIV in the last 72 hours (PEP may be a better option).
- Diagnosed with Hepatitis B, uncontrollable diabetes or impaired kidney function.
Truvada® for PrEP work by blocking an enzyme called HIV reverse transcriptase. By
blocking this enzyme, it prevents HIV from making more copies of itself in the body. You
will remain HIV negative if the virus can’t make enough copies of itself in your system.
If you are a resident of Ontario 24 yrs. old or younger, and you do not have health insurance through your parent’s plan, employer or school, prescription medications including PrEP are FREE under the OHIP+ plan. For those above 25 years old, PrEP is either low cost or FREE. For those with private insurance, there may be a small co-pay based upon your If you don’t have private insurance, you can apply for Trillium drug plan to seek coverage. We will work with you to find the cheapest coverage for you.
Before starting the treatment, we will send you a detailed blood work requisition to test for HIV and certain STDs. The tests will be required to be repeated every 3 months, once you are on the treatment before your prescription can be renewed quarterly by your clinician.
Once you sign up, we will email you your blood work requisition. You can take that to the nearest lab with your valid OHIP card. Once we receive your reports, we will schedule a virtual appointment with one of our licensed clinicians to go over your reports and assess if you are a good candidate for the treatment. If a prescription is approved, our pharmacy will contact you within 1-2 days to process your insurance or determine the best coverage possible for you. They will also provide consultation on the use of the medication and ship your medication every 3 months in discreet packaging via FedEx overnight.
Just prior to your 3 months follow up, we will resend you the lab work requisition again and once the reports are received, one of our clinicians will provide a follow up consultation and renew your prescription, as needed.
If during the course of your treatment, you ever need to speak to a clinician, just send us a message, email or give us a call and we will have one of our clinicians give you a call back to answer your medical query. With ON MEN, you receive unlimited access to our medical team without limitations.
PrEP protects against HIV, but you may still be exposed to certain STIs, in the absence of a condom. Hence, it is always a safer practice to use condoms however, we do acknowledge that it is a personal preference.
Most people who take PrEP have no major side effects. In some cases, users experience minor side effects such as weight loss, abdominal pain, or headaches, most of which go away quickly. Serious side effects associated with PrEP are very rare.
Minor Side Effects:
Most people have few to no side effects when they take PrEP. If you do experience side effects, they are most likely to occur when you first begin taking the prescription, and they usually go away entirely within a few weeks. The side effects most commonly associated with PrEP include:
- Weight loss.
- Abdominal pain.
- Headaches
- Mild nausea.
Most people who have experienced one or more of these symptoms did not find them bothersome enough to stop taking PrEP.
Serious Side Effects:
In rare cases, PrEP might cause more serious side effects, such as:
- Liver problems.
- Lactic acid buildup in the blood (lactic acidosis).
- New or worsening kidney problems, including kidney failure.
- Immune system changes.
- Bone pain.
- Thinning or softening of bones.
As with any medication, there’s a small risk that you could develop a serious health condition when you take PrEP. However, these adverse outcomes are very rare. In addition, the regular lab work required to get a PrEP prescription might be able to detect some of these health issues before they worsen.
No. PrEP is a once-daily pill that is designed to reduce the risk of HIV before you are exposed to it. It does not treat HIV and should not be used if you have already tested positive for HIV. However, if you have been exposed to HIV in the last 72 hours, you may be able to take a similar type of medication, referred to as PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis), for a month to reduce the likelihood of being infected.
PrEP stands for “pre-exposure prophylaxis.” It is designed for those who are not living with HIV and would like to reduce their risk of contracting the virus. If you are HIV positive, it’s important to begin treatment with your healthcare provider as soon as possible. Although PrEP isn’t the treatment for you, a number of options are available that can reduce your viral load (the amount of the virus found in your bodily fluids).
Your medication will be shipped to you in a FedEx envelope without any branding or mention of the contents on the outside. It will be shipped to you via FedEx overnight. Once shipped, we will send you tracking.
